  • My grab bars arrived without installation instructions. I see the installation steps here, but I have questions. I intend to install the bars on studs. Do I still use the expansion screws or something else?

A bit disappointed!

The grab bar is a smaller diameter than the photo shows, and the online image does not state the bar's diameter. It is 1" in diameter, where most grab bars I have seen are 1-1/4" diameter. Although only a 1/4" difference, the visual proportions look off. Also the caps that go over the grab bar ends and slides on the grab bar after installing the mounting screws easily scratches the grab bar. So my grab bar now has 2 scratches from dragging the caps along the grab bar ends.
