How to Install a Hospital Bed

Electric Hospital Bed Installation Guide

The electric Hospital Bed significantly enhances patient comfort and care efficiency, suitable for both home care and medical institutions. Below are the detailed steps for installing the electric Hospital Bed to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Step 1: Unboxing

Carefully open the packaging and remove all components, ensuring that they are undamaged. The bed includes the welded frame, guardrails, electric motor, remote control, and other accessories (such as IV pole, bedpan, and bedside table). Please verify the parts list during unboxing to ensure all components are complete.

Step 2: Install the Casters

Screw the four casters into the designated holes on the bed frame, ensuring they are securely fastened. Afterward, flip the bed over and place it in the desired position. Ensure there is enough space around the bed for easy movement and care. It is recommended to place the bed on a stable, solid surface to ensure the electric motor functions properly. Avoid placing the bed too close to walls or any obstacles to allow full movement of the adjustable sections.

Step 3: Install the Headboard and Footboard

Align the footboard with the bed frame, connect the latch properly, and secure it with the hooks. Then, install the headboard in the same way. Ensure both the headboard and footboard are securely attached and stable.

Step 4: Install the Guardrails

The electric Hospital Bed comes with guardrails to prevent falls and provide extra support. Align the guardrails with the pre-drilled holes on the bed frame and secure them with screws or other fasteners. Note: If you encounter any obstruction, such as screws getting stuck under the mattress while raising or lowering, try reversing the screw installation to avoid damaging the mattress.

Step 5: Install the Accessories and Brackets

Insert the IV pole into the designated hole at the head of the bed and install the bedside table bracket by aligning it with the pre-drilled holes and securing it with screws. Place the bedpan in the designated position under the bed for easy access.

Step 6: Place the Mattress

Place the mattress correctly on the bed. Ensure that the side with the 'This Side Up' label is facing up, and position the mattress snugly against the back of the bed. Use mattress straps to secure the mattress to the bed frame to prevent shifting.

Step 7: Connect the Remote Control and Power Supply

The electric Hospital Bed comes with a remote control to adjust the different sections. Place the remote control on the side of the bed or on the bedside table, ensuring a secure connection to avoid disconnections during use. Find the power cord and plug it into a properly grounded electrical outlet, ensuring that the outlet can meet the bed’s power requirements. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or obstructed to prevent damage. Test the power connection to confirm that the motor operates properly.

Step 8: Test Adjustable Functions

Use the remote control to test each adjustable section, including the backrest, leg lift, leg drop, and tilt functions. Ensure each section moves smoothly without resistance. Pay special attention to the alignment and functionality of the electric toilet hole to ensure it is properly aligned.

Step 9: Safety Check

After all components are installed, perform a final check on the bed’s stability and safety features. Ensure that the guardrails are securely fastened, the motor is functioning correctly, and the bed frame is stable. Check the casters for smooth movement and ensure that the anti-slip function is working properly.

Once installation and testing are complete, please review the bed’s three-year warranty and return policy. Returns are only accepted for unused beds, ensuring that you are purchasing a high-quality product.

Reminder:
